Little things can make a big difference, and in the digital world, you need to make it dead simple for people to navigate your sites and offers and information. On Facebook pages, one area that gets overlooked is the Short Description, which in addition to adding info on your About subpage, adds a key, short description to highly visible real estate beneath the cover and profile images.
QuickTip: keep it short and sweet, and add your website URL, hyperlinked. Otherwise, visitors have to click on 'about', and hunt for your website URL there. The short description is the best way to add an up front and clearly visible path to your website.See image from my Facebook Page for location of Short description.
Instructions: Go to Edit Page, then Update Public Info, and scroll down until you see Short Description. About 155 characters of what you write will be visible on the front of your Page, so include keywords that punch through the noise in the first line you write. This is a good area to practice and hone your branding skills. And keep tweaking places like this, until you get your message as short and potent as possible, describing who you are and what you do.
