Facebook QuickTip: Do NOT restrict your Facebook page by age or country unless you absolutely have to. An alcohol brand, for example, has to restrict the age of Page visitors to those 21 and over for legal reasons. But for the typical brand/biz/org of any size...with content appropriate for all ages, choosing to restrict the eyeballs that can view your page means your page CANNOT be viewed (by people...and Google/search engine crawlers) unless a person is logged into Facebook, since Facebook won't know a person's age or country of origin unless he/she is logged in. And that can mean more lost eyeballs than you bargained for, since non-restricted page content is visible to anyone, just like a website. And that includes Google!! If your page is restricted, it can't be found when doing a Google search (or Bing,Yahoo).
Think of your Facebook page as a living, breathing, 'sociable' website. The less restrictions, the better, so your content and information is easily visible to anyone and everyone, search engine crawlers included. That last point is critical. Check your settings for the sake of eyeballs, and SEO as well. ~ Jeff
