Jeff Crites: Founder/Principal Strategist and dog wrangler at Brick and Click Solutions, I have some 20 years marketing, communications and traditional/new media experience. Brick and Click launched in Spring 2008, evolving from from freelance consulting work I developed after radio and I parted ways in the summer of 2007. B&C has served brands of all size and military orgs with integrated/social marketing & communications strategy, solutions, training and management.
On any given day, I may be conducting a half-day workshop at a military base like Fort Belvoir in Alexandria, VA...training Army public affairs pros on the latest and most effective ways to communicate via social media. Or I'm managing the online presence for a number of clients, optimzing strategy and creating engagin content for Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and other social channels, and monitoring a new PPC ad campaign on Facebook. From blogging, SEM (search engine marketing), SEO (search engine optimization), SMO (social media optimization), e-mail marketing, content marketing, PR and more...I'm immersed in the latest means of impactful communication and marketing on behalf of my clients.
In addition to my boutique marketing consultancy, I was Online Community Manager for Army.mil, part of an L-3/MPRI strategic communications team that designed and managed the Army's official website and social media presence. In that capacity, I evangelized a custom Army.mil Content Management System, helped stand up home page/news portals and advised on social media for Army commands and installations, while growing and serving a global community of Public Affairs pros. My passion for 'social' includes internal, Enterprise collaboration and communication, with a season as Enterprise Social Media Manager for a DC based company that built and marketed an enterprise microblogging tool called Present.ly. My 13 year radio career includes stints as an award-winning writer/producer, network news anchor/editor, Operation/Programming manager of 3 XM Satellite Radio channels, podcast producer, and Ops Director/News Anchor for the nationally syndicated Bill Bennett's Morning in America show.
I've blogged for 6 years about trends in consumerism, technology, marketing and media (first at Consumer Passion, now via Brick and Click). My time covering Web 1.0 and the 90s tech bubble for SRN News (heard on 1100 radio stations) ignited a passion for the intersection of business and emerging technology. That led to deep immersion in Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Youtube, mobile and more as the social web exploded in popularity, and eventually led to the launch of Brick and Click. A doting dog dad and confessed coffee snob, you're likely to run into me at a Starbucks or other coffee shop immersed in my MacBook Pro ... checking in via my ever present iPhone 5, and hanging out at my 'third place'.
* In addition to those listed below, Brick and Click partners with a variety of talented individuals and agencies to handle any variety of client needs, including RevBuilders Marketing, a top shelf shop that specializes in SEO/SEM.
Andrea Jaffrey handles graphic design and cool visual stuff for Brick and Click clients (custom Facebook Page elements, logos, etc). Andy has a degree in Visual Communications from Truman State University, has been drawing since a toddler, and also manages things behind the scenes for Cornerstone Baptist Church in Warrenton, VA.
Creativity oozes from the Jaffrey household, as Andy's husband, a chemistry teacher, makes custom, hand tooled guitars in his spare time. Both have their hands full keeping up with two rambunctious dogs, Ash and Jasper.
Susan Crites, in addition to being the better two thirds of the Jeff/Sue spouse pairing, specializes in Email Newsletter campaigns and management, as well as social content creation and marketing. She's a published children's book author (I Love You More Than Rainbows). Her award winning book (1st Place Mom's Choice Gold Winner) has sold tens of thousands of copies, and Sue can often be found at school events, conducting book readings - wearing a pink boa and hat - and telling kids and adults about her journey as an author. Sue has degrees in Business and Economics from Mary Washington. She also swims like a dolphin and is the obvious proud mom of two wonder dogs, Emma and Sophie.
