Short and sweet to kick off my e-mail newsletter. First 100 people to sign up get an "I'd rather be Tweeting" t-shirt for FREE. The only cost is $5 shipping & packaging. the few moments it takes you to sign up! White, high quality short sleeve tee in the size of your choice (S,M,L,XL,XXL). If your address is outside the U.S. & Canada, a shipping charge may apply.
The Brick and Click Newsletter will arrive in your inbox like a warm, freshly baked pumpkin muffin.
If you don't have 'smell' enabled, I hope you'll find the newsletter to be value-packed ... chock full of usable information and insight. Sign-up is easy (click on the Newsletter link in the upper right sidebar). And should you grow weary of the pumpkin scent, you can unscubscribe at any time. My feelings will not be hurt, but I might wonder how I could've baked a better newsletter. You're encouraged to leave suggestions in the comment area about additional aromas you prefer, or other phrases that would make a killer T-shirt. Please share your Twitter handle too. Cheers.
*Note: I'll update here as soon as the first 100 have signed up, in case you're wondering "am I number 165 and he's not telling us so he gets more subscribers". This isn't and never will be about deception, though general tomfoolery is always fun. It IS all about transparency, making genuine connections, and hopefully handing you a nice welcome gift you can wear with pride.
*Update: Thanks for everyone's interest! The promotion is technically over (it's April 11th), but the welcome mat is always out to anyone interested in my free newsletter. I'll be including business and marketing tips and advice ... and giving subscribers 'first dibs' at client specials, beta invites and things I hope you'll find of great value. This blog, and the newsletter, will be focused more and more on entrepreneurs and small business ... the trends and technology that are changing the business landscape and empowering small business to think and act big.

http://Twitter.com/TimClarkeJr retweeted this offer, so I waived his shipping fee. Thinking I might do that for a few more ...

What the heck. Feeling generous, so it's completely free. No shipping, nada, zilch. I eat all costs, no strings attached.

I was going to sign up anyway. You both are fun! Looking forward to newsletters.

I can't wait for the smell of fresh muffins! Oh, yes, and some Brick and Click wisdom and knowledge will be good, too. :)

@AmandaMorin
Make sure you request the unicorn riding fairy that gallops by and sprinkles 'aroma capability' on your e-mail client.
this is the part people forget.

My favorite is Chocolate Chip and I would love the daily deliciousness and aroma be in that flavor.

@tundal45 your Chocoolate Chip request is noted.

Hey..
do I also have to comment here to get the tshirt?? :) Anyway I liked this part.. "*Note: I'll update here as soon as the first 100 have signed up, in case you're wondering "am I number 165 and he's not telling us so he gets more subscribers".".
But why you doing this? I like your honest approach. A bit hard to digest :)

The smell of a fresh steaming cup of coffee will wake me up when I put the shirt on in the morning.

@chandlervdw - I hope I don't let you down
Josephjay - nope, you don't have to comment here to get a shirt, just subscribe to the newsletter (which I believe you have). Comments are 'icing on the cake' and are appreciated, as I am passionate about two-way, transparent communication. Glad you like my approach. I'm doing the giveaway in part because it's a great way to drive attention to the upcoming newsletter, which I hope will be something people will look forward to reading ... and of course I hope to gain business exposure, leading to new clients I can help ... but also because giving, however small, is enjoyable. My wife used to make 'welcome baskets' for people new to a neighborhood we once lived in. They seemed to like that. It's the neighborly thing to do ...
@warrenss - If I can get the dust sprinkling, unicorn riding fairy to add aromatic coffee to the mix, believe you me, I will. I cannot start my day without a lovingly brewed caraf of Joseph.

My first twitter t-shirt. I'll wear it proudly

Liz - always one for you :-)
VickyH @eeus - I figure fellow Tweeps will get a kick out of it when they see it ... and non Tweeps will ask what it means ... giving a chance to evangelize Twitterville (like it needs promotion!).

The promotion is technically over as of today, but I reserve the right to surprise new subscribers with free gifts as I'm able. Because gifts are nice, right?
Posted by: Jeff Crites | April 11, 2009 at 11:25 AM
Yes, gifts are delicious. Did I just say delicious?
